Things to do in Charleston
Charleston has something for everyone whether you’re filling an afternoon or stretching your vacation out a few days after your cruise. The rich history and impressive architecture of the city makes it the perfect place for an amateur historian to explore. If you have time for nothing else, at least visit the Charleston Museum, which is America’s first museum, founded in 1773. If you time your visit right, you can even participate in the Festival of Houses and Gardens, which is always paired with an antique show.

If history isn’t your thing, Charleston still has a festival for you. Throughout the year there are food festivals, wine festivals, music festivals, fashion festivals, holiday festivals, film festivals, and the world famous performing arts festivals, Spoleto Festival USA.

Charleston is one of the nation’s top ten cities for live theater. There are theaters scattered all over the city and there is always a great show to catch somewhere. If you’d rather watch sports than plays, in Charleston you have the opportunity to see professional soccer, minor league baseball, and even rugby.
