About Charleston Executive Airport
Charleston Executive Airport abbreviated as JZI, is located in Johns Island, South Carolina which is in Charleston County. The airport is located 6 miles southwest of the central business district of Charleston. The airport opened as Johns Island Army Airfield in the beginning; it was used as an emergency landing airfield. Today the military aircraft still uses the airport occasionally. The airport has approximately 150 operations per day: general aviation, military and air taxis.
