With a picturesque skyline, its lakes, mountains, and Puget Sound visiting Seattle or Tacoma can be a rewarding experience. If you enjoy cruises you can embark from the Port of Seattle. Visit the Space Needle which was built for the World’s Fair in 1962, it stands 605 feet tall. You can also visit the Seattle Aquarium which features all of Seattle’s local sea life. For a fun look into the future visit the Boeing tour that features the “Future of Flight” exhibits.

Where to eat
The Walrus and the Carpenter has a menu that changes daily however it’s an oyster bar that is headed by Chef Renee Erickson and award winning chef and business partners Jeremy Price and Chad Dale. They aim to serve high quality food and drink with a hometown atmosphere.

The Wandering Goose is a Southern style soul food restaurant. They serve up a southern style breakfast and lunch daily and fried chicken dinner on Fridays. The menu is not cheap though a biscuit with butter and jam will be worth it.

Bamboo Garden is a Chinese vegan restaurant that is certified Kosher. Then menu is rich with traditions and it offers a host of faux meats. All meals are dairy, meat and egg free except for the fortune cookies; round your meal off with a mango, strawberry or orange sorbet.

Where to stay
The Westin Seattle recently renovated is located in downtown Seattle and is near the Seattle Convention Center.
