The Detroit Metro Airport is about 20 miles from campus and the closest airport to Wayne State University that offers commercial airline service. Although Wayne State University does not personally provide transportation to and from the airport, students and visitors are welcome to use Above Excellent Transportation which is a shuttle service providing transportation to and from campus to the airport with prices that are much lower than those of the local cab services. Another nearby airport is Detroit Willow Run Airport for students at the college.
