Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport DCA is the nearest commercial airport for the state of Washington D.C. This airport is located across the Potomac River in Arlington, in Virginia. This airport was originally named and recognized as Hoover Field during its launch in 1926 and it united together with another airport so it was renamed as Washington-Hoover Airport in 1930.
