Midtown Miami is the place to get your shopping done, whether you like the main chain stores or the unique boutiques. Midtown Miami is two miles from the upper east side and has over 50 shops including a Target for your everyday needs. During the day, Midtown Miami is more like an outdoor mall, but when the sun goes down the locals come out to play. This is a great place to see live music performances and enjoy some tasty dishes out on the patio of a restaurant. Depending on your budget you can take a piece of Miami home with you.

A mostly residential area offering high-rise apartments and busy streets filled with trendy art, restaurants, and architecture, Miami’s Upper East Side has become the place to settle down while staying close to the fun. Wake up to quiet views of Biscayne Bay, afterward taking advantage of close access to North Beach Atlantic Way promenade, all while keeping close to world-famous resorts. Keep close to what lies on the outskirts as well by having ride that offers the freedom to explore, either through the reliable drop-offs of a shuttle or the never-out-of-place attitude a stretched limousine brings.

Home to a long stretch of unique roadside stays, the Upper East Side’s Biscayne Boulevard makes it easy to stay close to the charm, whether it be through Vagabond Hotel’s 1950s-era ambiance, or the just-as-unique perks of New Yorker Boutique Hotel. Other choice stays include Zenmotel Inn, an earth-tone bungalow just off the busy street, as well as the aptly named Royal Budget Inn Motel, home to basic rooms with an added splash of style. And for those wanting to stay extra close to the shore, stay at Mare Azur Miami by Grand Bay, renowned for its rooftop pool and lounge accompanied by breezy palms.

Take time to explore the diversity of the area, moving from the open-air trails and kayak rentals of Morningside Park (also considering a day trip to Legion Picnic Islands for lunch away from the crowd), afterward moving toward the underrated lawns of Legion Park, which provide rocky beach spots perfect for sunrise. Take time to explore all the eateries along Biscayne Boulevard as well, choosing between the old-school vibes of Jimmy’s Eastside Diner or classic Greek food accompanied by live music at Barmeli 69, finally topping it all off with something sweet at Cream Parlor.

Painting with a twist is also something you art lovers may want to check out. Painting with a twist is not just sitting in a room with a canvas and an object you’re supposed to paint. No, Painting with a twist is socializing with new and interesting people with diverse backgrounds and using the inspiration to form an individual work of art. Wine, friends and painting, what else could be better? Most of the art housed in painting with a twist is from ordinary people like you and me, who knows, your talent could be displayed for years to come.
