The University of Cincinnati commonly referred to as UC is located in Cincinnati, Ohio. It’s a public research university that has been ranked in the top 100 universities by Times Higher Education and in the top 200 in the World.

Some options for Port Columbus International CMH which is locate about an two hours away in Columbus, Dayton International which is about an hour away in Dayton, or Louisville international which is also about two hours away in Louisville, Kentucky. There is also an Amtrak, Greyhound, and Megabus station located nearby.

How to get around Cincinnati
The Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority SORTA serves the most of the area. Bus rides and Metro 1 bus passes go to most of the attractions. Transit Authority of Northern Kentucky TANK operates between Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati. Bus rides are cheap and is usually used by locals that do not want to drink and drive. Downtown is easily accessible by foot. Cincinnati is quite hilly but for an experience cyclist you can easily travel by bike.

Things to do in Cincinnati
Find an adventure on one of the 400 hillside steps throughout Cincinnati. The steps were built long before cars existed to help the town’s people easily navigate the hilly area. Be careful some are underused and starting to fall apart making travel unsafe.

In July they have the Annual 4th of July celebration at Ault Park features music and fireworks. Ault Park is open throughout the year for bikers, joggers, and hikers. Also Coney Island has operated for more than 120 years. General Admission is inexpensive to use the rides and Sunlite Pool.

Kings Island is located about 20 miles from Cincinnati in Mason, OH. There is a children’s area and a water-park. Party in the Park held on the River front several times throughout the summer. About 8,000 people usually visit to hear some of the hottest musical acts. The cold beer helps too.

World Food Bar has some great gourmet food at low prices. You can find ethnic foods from all over the world with the freshest organic ingredients. Cincinnati is known for its chili. The best places to try it: Empress Chili, Skyine Chili, Camp Washington Chili, and Pleasant Ridge Chili. Enjoy a 3-way: chili with spaghetti, and finely shredded cheddar cheese.  If you want to splurge enjoy The Celestial Steakhouse. They offer steak and seafood selections; and a wine connoisseur will appreciated the hundreds of vintages wines from their cellar.
