For airports, you can fly into the George Bush Intercontinental Airport. The Hobby Airport is much smaller and sits on the campus. Either way, you can get to the university easily.

Over 1/3 of the student body lives on campus. The student newspaper is well respected and had a large national circulation.
The research center at the University of Houston is world respected for its cancer breakthroughs. Doctors come from all around the world to study at this ground breaking school. Many drugs have been developed to treat cancers that would have been terminal a few years ago. These drugs are now being used all around the globe.
The student body had a large student union. They are active in both school and local issues. Many of the students are from the Texas area. They have invested much into their institution.
