Just a short drive from the campus are the State Botanical Gardens, which offers visitors a tour through the grounds which offers beautiful and diverse horticulture and even some stunning topiary. Also, the state’s best zoo, the Bear Hollow Zoo, is located just on the outskirts of Athens and is one of the cities most visited attractions. About University of Georgia UGA offers its students more than 125 programs of study, the majority of classes specializing in research and investigative careers. The college also boasts some of the most awe inspiring libraries and holds the United States largest collection of historical and new maps. UGA has some of the best track and field sports teams in the country and have been given excellent honors for their Georgia Bulldogs teams. The UGA offers more than 500 campus organizations, giving more opportunities to students than most colleges are able to offer. Airports Near University of Georgia The airport also offers rental cars from Avis and Hertz. The rental counter is open during normal business hours of the airport and the parking rank for rental cars is located outside the terminal in a designated lot. The Athens Ben-Epps Airport also has a variety of rental cars available in the main terminal for transport services, including Enterprise and Budget. Their rental cars are located in the first four aisles of the short term parking lot to the right (first rows are for handicapped and cell phone waiting). Athens Ben-Epps also offers various taxi companies in the taxi rank which can take you to the Visitor Area of the campus.
