|There are a lot of reasons you might want to go to New Jersey. Atlantic City is one of the state’s biggest draws. Or maybe you want to visit the blueberry capital of the world. But if you have kids, or even if you don’t, Six Flags in Jackson is probably the real reason you want to head to New Jersey.|
NJ Transit offers bus service to and from the park from both Philadelphia and Newark. From Philadelphia the bus makes only one run in the morning to the park and one run in the evening back to Philadelphia, and only on weekends and select holidays. From Newark there still only one trip to the park in the morning and one trip back in the evening. This service is offered almost every day of the summer.
About Six Flags
If you’re looking for some quieter fun, try out the junior coaster, Blackbeard’s Lost Treasure Train. Enjoy the old classics like the Ferris wheel and the carousel. Or hit the water in the Congo Rapids and the Saw Mill Log Flume. If that isn’t wet enough for you, head on over to the Hurricane Harbor water park.
Jersey Shore is less than an hour away from Six Flags, making it easy to combine two vacations into one. Monmouth Beach is the perfect destination for some sand and surf. Or head to Pier Village for oceanfront dining and shopping, as well as to listen to some live music.
