The university students, faculty and staff have a free bus service known as the LSU Tiger Trails Transit System which is convenient and safe. These buses have improved features which increase efficiency and safety. The seating capacity is increased and all the buses are equipped with ventilation that is improved. Another bus that can be used is the Greyhound bus whose terminal is 2.5 miles north of the university.

You can also visit the Veterans Memorial and USS Kidd this place follows after the USS KIDD which was a ship that was named after Admiral Campbell Kidd, Senior. It consists of the Folk Architecture which is a collection of buildings illustrating the influences of culture for Louisiana’s settlers. It also consists of the Barn that has items from the prehistoric times to the 20th century.
Baton Rouge Zoo this is a zoo which is home to both domestic and exotic animals. The collection include rhinos, large cats, otters, reptiles as well as amphibians of Louisiana. There is a parrot paradise also that has colorful and rare birds from the tropics.
