Tyler is the birthplace of the "Adopt a Highway" program that began in 1985; it continues to develop its loop system from loop 323 and Loop 49 to this day. The city operates bus service Monday through Saturday. There are 5 routes plus a paratransit service that offers shared rides. Having a rental car is a better option if you are on the outlying areas of the city sense buses only run in and around downtown.
Tyler is a fairly small city with tons of attractions to consider for you, your family and friends! Enjoy museums, adventure park, local food and much more! Tyler Pound Regional Airport abbreviated TYR is located in Smith County, Texas three miles west of Tyler. It serves more than 74 thousand passengers each year.
