About the Seaside Civic and Convention Center The Seaside Civic and Convention Center offers a wide variety of spaces for exhibitions, trade shows, conferences and special events. The lower level has a theater and stage setup available for performances and other events that might require a stage. The theater will seat 900 people for a stage event, and can accommodate 72 exhibits when equipped for an exhibition. It can also be set up as a reception area or as a banquet area, both of which are easily achieved and seat many people. The room adjacent to the theater room can also be set up as a theater but is more commonly used as an exhibition room due to its smaller size and access to freight doors, making moving large objects in and out easy. In addition to these two larger spaces, there are several smaller rooms, mostly located upstairs, that are ideal for meeting rooms or classrooms but can also be set up for banquets or exhibitions as needed. Seaside Civic and Convention Center offers full audio and visual services. In addition, they are able to provide recommendations for other services as needed for special events, including florists and photographers. Seaside offers ocean access and views. Things to do in Seaside Every August the city celebrates Seaside’s role in the Lewis and Clark Expedition with a festival commemorating the time Lewis and Clark spent in Seaside making salt to last them the winter and through the journey home. The city also serves as the finish line for the annual Hood to Coast Relay that begins in Portland, Oregon.
