About Scottsbluff Airport
The airport has been around since 1928, where landing strips were put into a private pasture. Inland Airlines became the first air service provider and provided flights from Scottsbluff to Rapid City, Pierre, and Cheyenne. More services began to be available in 1940 and it has since grown into a regional airport that services all of western Nebraska.
Scottsbluff is within Scotts Bluff County and has a small population of around 15,000 people. There are two landmarks that help people to know where they are, which includes the Scotts Bluff National Monument as well as Chimney Rock.
Some of the primary tourist attractions include the Oregon Trail as well as the North Platte Valley Museum. The airport itself is small, and is titled as a regional airport. There is a rental car facility on premises, which is that of Hertz Car Rental. Great Lakes Airlines and Valley Airways are two of the charter flight operations at the facility as well, making it easy for people to go anywhere they wish.
