Things to do in Sarawak
The most popular attractions are the Gunung Mulu National Park and the Kelabit Highlands. At Gunung Mulu National Park there is so much nature to experience from caves to tropical rainforest and mountains. The Kelabit Highlands is a set of mountain ranges found in Sarawak, with the highest mountain, Mount Murud at 2,423 meters (7,949 feet). If you want to go on an adventure the park offers The Borneo Adventure a 4 day 3 night trek through caves, the pinnacles, and more.

These items are definitely not required but they will make visiting the park more enjoyable. Unless you are used to the climate in the rainforest and roughing it without basic toiletries; if not back all this up in a lightweight backpack or fanny pack.

Here is what you will need. Hiking shoes that can withstand wet conditions. Extra socks in case your feet get wet. Rain poncho for exploring the rainforest. Bottle water. There are fountains along the way in the park but many do not work. Flashlight for exploring the caves and if you are staying over night. Hand sanitizer and either hand wipes, Kleenex or toilet paper for outhouses. Sunscreen. Sunglasses or a sun hat. Insect repellant. Cheap washable gloves-the handrails used for walking inside the caves are covered in bat guano.
