Cibao International Airport abbreviated STI is located in Santiago de los Caballeros or simply called Santiago. It is located in the Dominican Republic. The airport is the third busiest airport and the second largest in the country.

Things to do around STI
Visit Centro Leon which houses all types of artistic medium from art galleries, cinemacafe, library, and audiovisual presentations.  Shop on Calle El Sol. It’s a street where there are several places to shop. It’s close to all the museums, gift shops, attractions, and restaurants. Go to the waterpark but use caution at Kaskada Park. Some of the rides are unsafe, it’s crowded with people sometimes, and it’s closed on Tuesdays.

Enjoy the nightlife of Santiago at El Monumento Santiago Live concerts are held there and it really comes to life at night. During the day you can visit the Monumentos a los Heroes de la Restauracion. Go to the Hotel Matum & Casino (see below for hotel details)

Santiago is full of all of the national American food chains including Burger King, McDonalds, TGI Fridays, Pizza Hut and Papa John’s just to name a few. There are lots of other international food restaurants as well whether you want Asian food, Italian, Seafood, or sweets you can find many places to eat.

Be near the monument if you stay at the Matum Hotel and Casino. The facilities have a museum casino, nightclub, several restaurants, a club, pool, and more. If you want to stay in the heart of the city stay at Hodelpa Gran Almirante Hotel and Casino Grand. The Gym has disposal sports equipment and they also provide Nike tennis shoes so you can work out. In the bathroom there is a scale, bathrobe, and slippers. There are several restaurants and bars plus the casino. There are also some economical places to stay in Santiago like hotel Los Jardines, or Hotel Dorato.
