The Oncenter has had several incarnations over the span of 60 years, and the original building began as a war memorial in 1952. Its current renovation was constructed in 1992, the Oncenter stretches three city blocks with an impressive 99,000 sq. ft. of rentable space for galas, fundraisers, business conferences, celebrations, festivals, sporting events, and more. The space is equipped with a spacious 1,000 space parking garage.
The Oncenter seats over 6,000 guests and has been home to several minor league football, lacrosse and hockey teams. In 1994, it became home to the Syracuse Crunch of the AHL. The Crouse-Hinds Theater serves as the main theater of the convention center, which contains Upstate New York’s largest stage and has three tiers of seating with 2,117 guest capacity.
