About Montrose Regional Airport Montrose Regional Airport (MTJ) provides year round direct route services to Denver via United Express by SkyWest. The airport has different seasonal schedules: Summer service offers flights to Houston and Dallas-Fort Worth. Winter service expands to offer more flights during ski season to include service to the major airline cities of Newark, Chicago, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and Phoenix/Mesa. Participating airlines are United Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Airlines, and Allegiant Air. Montrose, Colorado, is a mecca for outdoor and indoor enthusiasts. This city, population about 19,000, has the nickname of “the Hub of Western Colorado” due to its location being in the middle of everything.
