About the Minneapolis Convention Center
This large memorable for its unique architecture with a quadruple-domed roof and recently implemented green technology upgrades. The state of the art facilities make it a popular location for large national conventions such as the Railway Interchange. Established in 1886, the Convention Center has a long and wonderful history serving the local and national community. The convention center’s large auditorium was once home to the Minneapolis Lakers until 1960, when they moved to Los Angeles. Its vast and spacious design also allows the convention center to host all types of business events, with over 80 meeting rooms and two large ballrooms.
