Midtown Houston is the district that lies in the southwest side of Downtown Houston and it is surrounded by the Neartown, Interstate 45 and the US Highway 59.

About Midtown Houston
Way back in 1906, this area was divided between the Fourth Ward and Third Ward. This place for once became a famous residential district before the 1950s. Increasingly, commercial development led the homeowners to leave for the neighborhoods that they considered less hectic. This area then turned out to be a group of small complexes of apartment, older homes and low-rise commercial structures with many routes to and from IAH airport.
