There are buses to Pimbino, Florence, and other cities from Pisa. To get to Pisa you can take a cab. You can take a ferry direct to Barcelona and other destinations. The train station offers rides to Pisa or Florence very frequently.

You can also drop by the Premio Rotonda for its contemporary arts festival in August.
Trattoria Sottomarino serves up a traditional Cacciucco (fish stew) but they are closed on Monday and Tuesday. Cantina Senese is famous for their Caccuccio and Black Rice. Bo establishment are pretty reasonable prices. Remember to end your dining experience with a Ponce all livornese; a war drink that has coffee and rum.
