Lancaster itself is one of the oldest inland towns in the US and is in the south central part of the state. It has a population of more than 59 thousand making it the eighth largest city in Pennsylvania. This is part Amish country being first settled by the Dutch.

Go to an Amusement Park, the Dutch Wonderland Family Amusement Park is great for families and preteens. First Friday of every month there is an arts celebration. Exhibits include arts, live music, plays, and much more. Lancaster is very picturesque, one of the great ways to see it all is a Balloon ride. Take a trail ride at the Alimax Farm Trail Rides. Horseback rides are supervised and you can choose from a half hour, hour, or full day ride.
