Lancaster Airport (LNS) is located right outside Lancaster, Pennsylvania. It has more than 90 thousand airport operations each year.

At least 5 flight schools use the facility for their students. Airport operations also include charter service and Sun Air Express provides service to Dulles Airport and Pittsburgh International. Lancaster itself is one of the oldest inland towns in the US and is in the south central part of the state. It has a population of more than 59 thousand making it the eighth largest city in Pennsylvania. This is part Amish country being first settled by the Dutch.

Things to do in Lancaster
If you want to experience some of the Amish culture visit the Amish Experience F/X Theater, the People’s Place Quilt Museum, Amish Country Tours, or Mennonite Information Center. See the Choo Choo Barn Traintown USA is features over 140 miniature trains, figurines and vehicles.

Go to an Amusement Park, the Dutch Wonderland Family Amusement Park is great for families and preteens. First Friday of every month there is an arts celebration. Exhibits include arts, live music, plays, and much more. Lancaster is very picturesque, one of the great ways to see it all is a Balloon ride. Take a trail ride at the Alimax Farm Trail Rides. Horseback rides are supervised and you can choose from a half hour, hour, or full day ride.

Lancaster Restaurants
Have dinner and a Broadway style show at the Dutch Apple Dinner Theater. The menu changes with each show so you will need to check with the venue for meals. They do however have gluten free and vegetarian choices. Take a tour and have a pretzel too at Anderson Pretzel Bakery. The tour is free and you get some great samples at the end. Have dinner at the Lancaster Brewing Company and taste some of their microbrews. The serve Cheeseburgers, pizzas, wings and of course Philly Cheesesteaks.

Lancaster Hotels
Most of the chain hotels are located near downtown like the Hampton Inn, Days Inn, Travelodge, and the Hawthorn Suites. If you are looking for a romantic atmosphere the King’s Cottage Bed and Breakfast has rooms with fireplaces and they have a spa. The Doubletree Resort has a playground for the kids, tennis courts, and an indoor pool. Golfer’s may prefer the Lancaster Host Resort and Conference Center; at this resort you can play the 18-hole championship course.
