About the Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas The Irving Convention Center offers three kinds of spaces, each on its own level of the building. The exhibition space is on the ground level. This is a 50,000 square foot space that has no columns to obscure the building in and out of the exhibits. This space can be divided in half to allow for two simultaneous and smaller groups to use the exhibition hall. Each side is equipped with green rooms, retractable seating, audio and visual equipment, loading docks and drive-in access for easy setup and breakdown. The second floor of the convention center is the meeting floors level. There are eight different meeting rooms, each at 1000 square feet. They can be combined into larger groupings if required. There is a reception area that provides access to a lounge area or a place for catered meals if necessary. Multiple groups can occupy this floor without confusion or mixed access. The top floor of the convention center is the ballroom floor. This floor is 20,000 square feet in size and can be divided into halves or into six sections as needed by smaller groups. This space has views of the Dallas skyline to the south and east and is ideally suited to wedding receptions or special events. Things to do in Irving Dallas is a well known center for sports. Aside from the Dallas Cowboys, the city is home to the Texas Rangers, a major league baseball team. The team also has an National Basketball Association team, the Dallas Mavericks. The city has an NHL hockey team, the Dallas Stars, and a professional soccer team, the FC Dallas.
