|Of the approximately 15 airports in the city of Hawaii, Hilo, Hawaii airport (ITO) is not the number one largest but it is certainly one of the top major airports. It covers an area that encompasses almost all of east Hawaii.|

With a population of almost 43,263 as of 2010, Hilo is a quaint but thriving coastal Hawaiian settlement. This settlement is a great central tourism spot, as well as having its own busy private life. The Lai Nani is a bit more upscale, at 5 stars and $225 a night. This is a luxury resort with all the amenities, a familiar atmosphere, and is nestled on the coast. This resort is as sustainable as possible, with solar panels across the residence and miniature botanical gardens on site.
