About Fuerteventura Airport
It serves more than 4 million passengers each year. Fuerteventura translated means Strong Winds or sometimes the island of eternal spring. Luckily the strong winds are, usually, diverted from the island because the sea temperature adjusted them away from the island. The island is comprised of six municipalities: Antigua, Betancuria, La Olivia, Pajara, Puerto del Rosario and Tuineje. In each, you’ll find plenty to do as a tourist. Watersports and other native sports are very popular for tourist.
