The Boulder City airport is one of the busier municipal airports that operate, with approximately 220 flying in or out on a day. There is approximately 234 aircraft based at the airport, with the majority of them being single engine airplanes.
The airport is public use and is only one nautical mile from the business district of Boulder City. A new terminal, which was 30,000 square feet in size, opened up in 2009, which services the Grand Canyon Airlines as well as Scenic Airlines.
