Things to do in Beckley
Most people come to Berkley to see the Tamarack it’s the largest arts and craft center. The Tamarack maintains a schedule of events and there are 5 resident artisan studios that display projects with wood, metal works, glass, pottery, jewelry, and more. Mining is another popular thing to do in Beckley. At the Beckley Exhibition Coal mine you can get an up-close look but at Someplace Special Gem right outside of Beckley in Spring you can mine for precious gems. Take a guided tour of the Daniel Vineyards. The winery is in a very beautiful location and they make a very delectable blackberry wine.

Beckley Restaurants
Some of the most iconic places to eat are the King Tut Drive-In, Char Restaurant, and Young Chow. Every had soup delivered to your car or even homemade pie. You won’t find a fast food joint that makes their dishes from scratch and then deliver it to your car, but King Tut does. The BBQ pulled pork sandwiches are a favorite. Char is frequently vote as one of the best restaurants in West Virginia. People often rave about their steaks, brascioli (baised meat roll), and the bread pudding. Young Chow serves Asian cuisine done American style. All meals come with fried noodles, dipping sauce, and spicy cabbage. For dessert the fried ice cream is usually a winner.
