Hartford airport transfers and vacation guides
After the American Civil War, Hartford was by far the richest city in the United States. This decadence continued for several decades, resulting in a large amount of gorgeous aristocratic architecture, which remains standing to this day.

With a modest, but rising population, Hartford, Connecticut has become one of America’s most vibrant and throbbing pulses. Home to an explosion of art and recreational activities, it is also known for being Connecticut’s capital as well as host to a variety of historical attractions.

The magnificent city of Hartford is the capital city of Connecticut State. The state is one of the oldest ones in the history of the US and, due to this, it has strong cultural ties with Europe, especially England. The houses, buildings, parks, and central downtown of the city give strong a nuance of the European cultural which is quite superior in this part of the country. But this doesn’t suggest that the city hasn’t evolved with developing technologies.

Along with medieval architect, here you will also find structures build on modern designs using state of the art technologies. Due to being present on the northern side of the country, the weather is very chilly in winters and remains moderate throughout summers, while during the fall season, the gardens and parks present in the city turn lush green. It is a lovely place to be at all year long.

Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art
There are a lot of museums throughout the world, but few hold a candle to The Wadsworth Atheneum. Located in the center of Hartford, The Wadsworth has a large collection of European Baroque art as well as French and American Impressionist paintings, but that isn’t to say the facility is living in the past. The museum itself is a piece of art, designed and structured to look like a castle fortress from the Gothic Revival period, making it a distinct piece of antiquity in the middle of downtown Hartford.

→ The museum’s collections feature works from all over Europe and the United States. They are grouped by medium and region and range from breath-taking paintings to awe-inspiring sculptures.

→ Variety is something you’ll surely find here. Wadsworth Atheneum is home to an impressive collection of over fifty thousand pieces of art.

→ The staff at the museum curate various collections for special exhibitions which can be viewed throughout the year. Be sure to see what will be on display when you visit.
