About the Austin Convention Center
The Austin Convention Center is a basically a square that encompasses 881,000 square feet. Think of an old style Spanish square with four floors and you get the picture. The third flood presents an open air atrium, a palazzo, and a rotunda that are in keeping with the colonial Mexican and Texan heritage of Austin. The exhibition halls cover the majority of the first and second floors of the Austin Convention Center. The exhibition halls have 29 separate gates for loading and unloading equipment and have two access ramps.
