Valparaiso Port Shuttles
VPS airport transfers
A hilly church-filled city along the shores of central Chile, Valparaíso is a historic relic for cruise goers arriving by ship. The arrival point for this terminal is immediately walking distance from a scenic pier, as well as the Puerto Subway Station. A couple transfers east along the same coastline is the Valparaíso Passenger Terminal, the main arrival building for the area home to ticket stands, tourism information booths and just-as-easy subway access via the attached Francia Station. Coastline highways and an intricate city network also makes private transfers a viable option - choose between sedans, vans or SUVs to take the day slow and steady, or enjoy casual meet-and-greet services for drop offs to wherever, whether it be through a local personal driver who can find special moments, or chauffeured limousine made perfect for arriving to luxury restaurants in style.
The cruise terminal drops off near most landmarks, including the colorful local boats and pontoons docked along Muelle Prat, plus historic views of old colonial churches and elevated cart rides via El Peral Ascensor’s historic funicular rides to the top of a hill overlooking the city. Another accessible funicular cart ride can be experienced at the parallel Concepcion Ascensor, while the Ascension Reina Victoria offers the most appreciated views. A couple of the cart rides arrive to hilltop exhibits like the Baburizza Palace’s fine works housed in an authentic Art Nouveau mansion, as well as the selected illustrator works from El Mirador Lukas Museum. End the afternoon with a famed climb atop Cielo Abierto Museum, a vast alleyway of detailed murals and painted steps preserved from the 1990s, or go casual with restaurants ranging from the upscale ambiance of Restaurant La Concepcion, to festive Peruvian at Nazca Restaurant Peruano.
