SSA airport transfers

Known for its intimate perspective of Bay of All Saints, Salvador de Bahia Cruise Terminal is just west of downtown Salvador, offering cruise goers instant access to the vibrant culture of Brazil’s eastern coastline as well as modern facilities like water, showers and Wi-Fi. Close access to extensive public transportation makes getting through teeming streets an easy feat, whether it be through bus routes traveling down Avenue da Franca, or underground transfers via the slightly further Campo da Pólvora Subway Station about half a mile up the road. Reserve a private lift for something a bit more modest, looking forward to quaint transfers across town via simple sedans and spacious SUVs, also looking toward clear roads and quick drop offs via meet-and-greet services that can showcase the laid-back peninsula scenery, either through local personal drivers who know the best beachside seafood joints, or quick taxi drop offs toward all-in-one piers.

To passengers’ luck, many of Salvador’s main attractions are walking distance from the cruise terminal, the closest hotspots including hundreds of shops and restaurants at Mercado Modelo, all housed within a variety of interconnected cement boathouses, a massive plaza and outdoor food court bringing a Euro-style flare to the ambiance. Out toward the sea is São Marcelo Fort, an often quiet island fort is famous for its circular design built upon a reef, tranquil boat tours departing from the cruise port’s ferry terminal for afternoon views of the historic land mass. Beyond fortified islands, the famous Art Deco design of the Lacerda Elevator is another wonder to behold, offering a windowless ride to a sky-high cafe. Continue walking through old buildings by moving toward the Museum of Mercy, a large art exhibit housed in a 17th-century mansion, while the epic Rio Branco Palace offers an over-the-top neoclassical design interior seen through guided tours.
