Located in bustling downtown Quincy is the Oakley-Lindsay center, Quincy’s premier location for all types of large scale events, including concerts, business conferences, local festivals, trade shows and more. The beautiful lobby is well-known in Quincy as a luxurious setting for wedding receptions, charity galas and banquet events. Stylish and elegant, the lobby features large windows that provide atmospheric lighting and a scenic view for up to 125 guests.
For large events, the McLain-Kent Hall provides 30,000 sq. ft. of open space, which can be additionally partitioned into segments for smaller events. This vast exhibit hall can host up to 165 booths for trade shows, transforming the hall into an exciting marketplace. The space is large enough to provide different options for seating arrangements depending on the type of event. Theater-style seating provides space for up to 3500 guests for concerts, seminars and celebration events. Classroom style seating will allow up to 2500 guests, and banquet-style round tables will seat up to 1500.
In addition, the great space provides access to a drive-in door, for easy loading from 16’ x 18’ semi-trailer. This fantastic space is fully equipped with many electrical outlets and hookups, as well as a full kitchen. The Oakley-Lindsay Center also holds a wonderful 500-seat theater, which is outfitted with state of the art lighting and audio-visual equipment, a soundproof rehearsal room, dressing rooms, showers, set storage, and a costume shop. Home of the Quincy Community Theater, the troupe has been entertaining locals and visitors alike for nearly 80 years.
While staying in Quincy, be sure to get out and experience some of the local charm. This city is quite friendly, and has some interesting attractions not found anywhere else.
