HKG airport transfers

A small island off the coast of Thailand’s Krabi province, Ko Hong offers a surreal paradise at first glance - most cruise ships dock just a few miles off-shore at the Rayavadee Pier at Nong Nooch, a few smaller boats offering fast transfers to the small island. The cruise terminal itself is home to a shaded boardwalk with immediate access to transfer services. Often compared to the nearby Phi Phi Islands, many guests say Ko Hong is the best stop for cruise goers crunched on time, not only because of its ethereal views jam-packed into a few square miles but varied activities like scuba diving toward vivid coral reefs, hiking through gorgeous rainforests and kayaking across cliff-lined inlets. Reserve some time with tour operators for rides ashore - due to lack of roads and the closure of the island at night, few land transfers will be needed.

A great launching-off point is Hong Island Beach, located on the north side of the isle and offering especially soft white sand. It is recommended that travelers arrive early in the morning if possible, due to the large crowds that fill up the island. Brightly colored fish can easily be seen just off shore with a pair of snorkeling glasses, while a moderately difficult trail offers a jungle-shrouded path taking about half an hour. Adventurous types should try to find their way toward Lagoon of Hong Island afterward, taking boat rides through the famously narrow rock formations and dense mangrove forests for a view of some of Thailand’s most incredible geology. Guests planning to spend the entire day on the island are encouraged to pack their own lunches, as there are no restaurants on the island due to nightly closures. Nearby restaurants close to the mainland’s pier include the Halal-style eats at PakNam Krabi Seafood, as well as a festive Thai menu from Nong Joke Restaurant.
