Tribeca, Soho and Nolita Airport Shuttle Service
What was once a trio of trendy neighborhoods to consider relocating to has become a fixture in the face of New York. They have a life of their own, not one common thread or taste, and the ability to welcome anyone and everyone.

Many of Nolita’s younger residents have migrated out of Nolita now. The neighborhood has lost much of its originality and uniqueness but Nolita will always remain as the original settlement of Italian immigrants.

There are quite a few notable people who have come from the neighborhoods here. David Bowie and his wife and Gabriel Byrne have lived here, also Martin Scorsese was born and raised in Nolita.

Being south of Hudson Street, now abbreviated as Soho is a reference to the London District. It was so named by an urban planner named Chester Rapkin. The names of Tribeca, Soho, and Nolita were the beginnings of a trend in naming repurposed neighborhoods, or new neighborhoods.
About Tribeca, Soho and Nolita
Tribeca stands for the Triangle Below Canal Street. Nolita is an abbreviated form of North of Little Italy. Soho is listed in the National Historic Registry as of 1978, including most, if not all of its five hundred buildings and twenty six blocks. These buildings are known as historic due to the cast iron used in making the architectural elements of the style. Many of the side streets of these neighborhoods are paved with Belgian blocks. Arrivals from JFK International Airport by taxis are daily, having a variety of vehicles to accommodate your needs.

Historically, the land that is now Soho, and surrounding areas, was part of a land grant given to freed slaves. When the city abandoned the plans to keep the area strictly industrial, many artists began moving into the vacant buildings. These buildings had originally been designed for manufacturing locations, so were open spaces with huge windows. Artists liked these for the space and the natural light they would have.

There are many chain outlets clustered in the neighborhoods. These became popular with the people who wanted fashionable clothing, and enjoyed the unique architecture they could have. Sidewalks in these areas are usually filled with artists and designers selling what they make or create. Tourists flock to these locales to obtain the unique quality of wares available. There is also an eclectic mix of boutiques and local shops doing business in Soho and Tribeca, as well as Nolita.

Visitors walking through these neighborhoods could spend all day shopping and eating, and still not be done. The neighborhoods of Soho, Tribeca, and Nolita are filled to maximum with quaint little shops, family friendly cafes and restaurants, coffee shops where the barista will tell you there is no room to sit. The choice of food shops, coffee shops is an endless strip of cultural diversity, all welcomed by one’s own palate.
