If you prefer to travel a little further of a distance, Metro Transit is the way to go. The transit provides rides free of charge for students, faculty, staff and visitors of TAMU to on and off campus destinations. They also provide paratransit vehicles for those unable to board the transit due to permanent disabilities. TAMU also organizes a carpool/ride share to help anyone with transportation needs.

George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston Texas is the main airport located about 100 miles from College Station. The closer, more commonly used, airport for TAMU students and visitors is Easterwood . Ground Shuttle provides transportation between Easterwood and Bush International s as well as from Easterwood to a private destination. There are also several taxi companies local to TAMU that offer in and out of town traveling services.
