Along the far eastern banks of Brazil, Natal offers a vibrant urban ambiance paired with seafront national parks that celebrate the region’s famous hidden dunes. The cruise port itself is located on the north side of town, near the neighborhood of Redinha. A no-frills arrival point, the terminal is without any immediate access to public transportation, though local taxis and shuttles may offer a helping hand. Walkable promenades and a cobblestoned hiking path make exploration by foot an option as well. Choose between one of many transfer options to get around easier, looking forward to modest sedans, vans or chartered buses for the freedom to see the city’s coastline with ease, or go with one of many meet-and-greet services ranging from taxi drop offs that make the day easy, to local personal drivers who can share special moments with various guests.

Gather all the information needed at the Natal Tourism Center, located in the main downtown area just a few blocks from the city, and offering close walking distance to Middle Beach. Continue along the sandy stretch from there to reach Artist’s Beach, home to inspiring lookouts from the rocky Tip of the Bat jetty, and beloved French-Spanish cuisine at Lighthouse Bar & Restaurant. Further toward the mainland rest an array of other nearby landmarks such as Natal Dunes State Park’s vast ecological wonders and wooded beachfront forests, not to mention a helpful on-site visitor’s center adding interesting facts to the sights; other exhibits that pair well with the state park include the UFRN Museum Cascudo’s anthropological perspective, as well as RN Ores Museum. Watch the sunset from the scenic Lago do Carcara, a vast white-sand lagoon home to rentable boats, as well as the recognizable cove known around the world as Morro do Careca.
