Expect to pay 11 OMR $28.58 USD per day for a economy car which may not have air conditioning.

The airport is located 20 miles (32km) from Muscat and with the opening of a second terminal it will have the capacity to handle 12 million passengers a year it currently handles 8 million. Muscat Attractions
Muscat is the capital of the Arab state, Oman. It is a large metropolis and the center of the Governante of Muscat’s government. The name Muscat comes from a word that means "safe anchorage," an example of how important the city’s port is for commerce in the area.

Muscat is not only a big city and political center of the Governante of Muscat, it is a prime tourist destination. In 2011, the city of Muscat erected its Royal Opera House, drawing in tourists from around the world and earning the city worldwide acclaim, as well as expanding the cultural face of the area.
