You can reserve a hotel in Milan or you can make discount airport transportation reservations. Milano Malpensa Airport, located 25 miles north of Milan, is the largest international airport of Northern Italy.

Long term low cost parking is located the second farthest from the terminal, but offers the best rates. The P6 Lot offers the best rates available and also includes shuttle services to the main airport terminal every ten minutes.

Europ-car, Hertz, Avis and several other companies are available for car hire at the airport. The agency is located inside of Terminal 1. The airport allows for online reservations for vehicles prior to your arrival. Reservations are preferred, but not required.

While no name is given via the airport website, the WHITE cabs located in the rank are the taxicabs contracted with the airport and for your airport staff request you only use those taxis other taxis on site are usually dropping off passengers . Taxi rank is located between the terminals.

The Malpensa Shuttle is the local bussing company that stops every 20 minutes or so at the terminal. Round trip to the city and back usually takes an hour. Rates are reasonable. Main bus terminal is located in the city, however, routes intersect.

Spanning more than 500 acres of pristine land, the airport sees more than 15 million passengers annually on more than thirty airlines, including United Airlines, Air Canada and Air China. There are two terminals and each terminal has a runway. There is also a separate terminal for cargo shipments and it processes more than 400,000 tons of cargo. There are plans for a third runway to be created by the end of 2016. Milan Airport is located by following A8 motorway to State Highway SS336 (follow signs after that) and uses airport flight code MXP.

MXP Airport Terminals
Milano Malpensa Airport offers services for the mobility impaired at no cost. There is a VIP Lounge for conference and business meetings. There are several banks available as well as a currency exchange in each terminal. Terminal 1 offers post office services (this includes Fed Ex). There is a medical center located in Terminal 2 for emergency needs. Terminal 1 has a market for all of your food needs, as well as several airport company cafes. Duty free shops are located throughout each terminal. Please note that website does not offer list of dining fares or shop names as these change from time to time and are not frequently updated.
