Midtown East and Murray Hill Airport Shuttle Service
Midtown East is still a thriving neighborhood with plenty of action for singles or young marrieds who are looking to enjoy the city's nightlife. The growing family population, however, makes it one of the best choices for households with children that are looking to relocate to midtown.

Midtown East is a very busy business district in midtown. Once offices close down and commuters leave, however, residents are left with little competition for restaurants, bars and other evening activities. The easy commute to work is a big draw for many residents.
About Midtown East and Murray Hill
Though the population is still largely single, there are more families with children in Murray Hill than in any other neighborhood in midtown. Just a few years ago the area was characterized as a postgraduate playground, and there are still plenty of college students and young professionals making it their home. Third Avenue serves as an unofficial boundary between the two segments of the population, but are both destinations that people can easily book to and from John F .Kennedy Airport.

Condos and high rises abound towards the east end of the district while the west side leans more toward brownstones and row houses. With the changing demographics, children’s programs and activities are springing up. Schools are also growing, with a second elementary school opening in 2013.

Murray Hill still has a cost of living ninety seven percent higher than the national average, but this makes it one of the cheaper neighborhoods in midtown.

In comparison, Midtown East remains less of a family neighborhood. It is harder to find parking, but it is more centrally located which makes driving less necessary to get places. There are more schools in Midtown East.

As with most neighborhoods in the area, boundaries are not set. There is quite a bit of overlap between Midtown East and Murray Hill and some people consider Murray Hill to extend much farther south than others. This accounts for much of the discrepancy in figures that can be found from site to site.

Rent in Midtown East averages just under two thousand dollars a month. This does make it one of the more expensive midtown neighborhoods. When compared to other midtown neighborhoods, Midtown East has a higher population of married couples, though the majority of them have no children. The second largest group of residents is single adults who have never been married.

Midtown East is dotted with small parks. The most popular is Greenacre Park which features a small waterfall that helps drown out city noise for those looking to get away for a little while. Murray Hill does not have as much green space but there are a growing number of playgrounds in the area.
