Carbondale Airport Shuttle Service

Southern Illinois Airport (MDH) is located in Carbondale, Illinois. The airport handles more than 77 airport operations each year.
It serves both Carbondale and Murphysboro, Illinois with the airport less than 10 minutes away from either ones downtown. Carbondale itself has a population of more than 26 thousand people and it ranks at number 20 in terms of population in the state of Illinois. The city is just a little more than 20 minutes northwest of the Mississippi River.

Things to do in Carbondale
Cedar lake offers fishing and hunting expeditions. There are fishing tournaments and fish offs held annually. There are many deer in the Cedar Lake area and hunters can participate in archery contest as well. There is also a beach at the lake. The beach is situated along the towering bluff and makes a great fishing and swimming location.

Giant City Park has a playground, rock climbing/rappelling, hunting, picnicking, and camping grounds. Other park, forest, wildlife refuges in the Illinois Department of Natural Resources that is close to Carbondale include: Trail of Tears, Shawnee National Forest, Cab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge, Southern Illinois Touch of Nature, and the Marberry Arboretum Green Earth.

Carbondale Restaurants
New Kahala is a Chinese restaurant with great food and a low price, it is located right in the middle of downtown. Don Taco has some great Mexican food choices with low prices. It is located on east Grand Street. Tres Hombres is another Mexican restaurant but they also serve a vegetarian burrito. They play live music every weekend usually a blues band.

Carbondale Hotel Shuttles
There are many national chain hotels in Carbondale including Days Inn, Comfort In, and the Hilton just to name a few. If you want to take advantage of some of the secluded forest area that is prevalent in Carbondale, Cabin By The Pond is located near two ponds and contains 3 cabins. It’s just a mile south of the SIUC campus.
