Oklahoma City airport otherwise known as Will Rogers World Airport (OKC) was named after the famous native comedian/actor who could be referred to as a frequent flier of the airport due to his extensive travels during his career. Will Rogers died in a plane crash and was famously known for his down-home comic commentating on American life.

The airport has one passenger terminal with seventeen gates on the west concourse (1-12) and the central concourse gates (14-24). Gates on the north side use odd numbers though certain odd numbers are eliminated in the sequence due to the layout of the terminal (1-24). There are four runways, and the airport services more than 3,500,000 passengers. Oklahoma City airport is served by several major airlines and many local airlines offering connecting and direct flights which include American Airlines seasonally to Orlando/Sanford and US Airways to Charlotte, NC and Los Angeles.
