Homer Airport Shuttle Service

Homer, On The Edge Of Alaska
With only one runway, it sees it fair share of main flights. In 2006, the airport had an average of one hundred thirty-six flights per day. Forty-six percent scheduled commercial, thirty-two percent was air taxi, and twenty-two percent was general aviation. The two main airlines that Homer commercially provides are Alaska Airlines and Ravn Alaska. If you are traveling anywhere to or from Homer then you will end up stopping in Anchorage. Anchorage is the main hub in between Homer.

Homer is a beautiful city that attracts many travelers. The temperature rarely drops below zero degrees and doesn’t rise past seventy degrees. If you are going for the fishing or just the scenery, it definitely has its wonders. Being nestled in the bluffs overlooking the Kachemak Bay you get your view of white snowy peaks, glaciers, and a beautiful bay.

Hotels near HOM
Homer has plenty of places to choose from if you are going to be staying for a week or two. There aren’t major hotel chains but you do have a choice between hotels, motels, cabins, or bed and breakfasts.

One bed and breakfast that is open all year around is Halcyon Heights Bed and Breakfast. Located on Mission Road, they have sweeping views just six minutes from downtown Homer. Halcyon Heights, depending on the morning, will have a spread of special eggs, pancakes, frittatas, waffles, and fresh fruit. The scenery around Halcyon is magnificent.
