The airport is operated 24 hours a day with a parking lot capable of holding over 5,000 vehicles and has a terminal measuring 230,000 square feet. It was during the year 1999 when the airport officially opened their new parking garage, which is capable of holding 1600 vehicles. Additionally, an 800-car parking area was opened in the year 2001.
Albany International even has an art and culture program, being a venue that successfully showcases different works of art from throughout the area’s region. Finally, the airport has a kid’s Flight Deck. This is an hour-long tour led by airport ambassadors, where kids can learn about what happens in an airport.
