The Croatian city Dubrovnik is located on the coast of the Adriatic Sea. One of the most noticeable features of this area is are the Walls of Dubrovnik which surrounds the city and is over one mile long.

Things to do in Dubrovnik
There is so much to see and do all over Dubrovnik; with five forts, 16 towers, castles, museums, restaurants, shops, and more. You’ll have a great time exploring all of it and here are a few things to add: of course you’ll want to take a walk along the beach; you can also take an aerial tour of the entire area with a cable car ride to the top of the hill go cliff jumping, take a yacht out for the day, and go on a kayaking adventure at a nearby island.

About Dubrovnik Airport
Dubrovnik Airport abbreviated DBV is located 9.5 miles (15.5 km) from Dubrovnik, Croatia city centre. It’s the 3rd largest in terms of passengers since it was surpassed by Split Airport located in Kastela, Croatia in 2013. It serves more than 1 million passengers each year. Dubrovnik itself has a total population of approximately 43,000. People there speak Latin and Dalmatian. Historically Dubrovnik is a maritime trading city. It’s currently ranked number 10 in preserved walled medieval cities in the world. The city is located on the Adriatic Sea giving it a subtropical Mediterranean climate. Between October and April there are extremely cold winds that uncomfortably blow down the coast, and thunderstorms can interrupt nice sunny days during the summer.

You can easily get around Old Town on foot, but some of the streets are a steep climb. Ignore the street signs sadly they are out of date. If you want to get to Old Town, you can get there by bus. Expect to pay $2USD (12kn or €1.57 EURO) purchased at the machine, if you purchase on the bus you’ll pay a little more. All tickets are valid for 1 hour. A day pass that’s good for 24 hours and unlimited travel will cost $4.99 USD (30 kn or €3.93). You can also rent a car; expect to pay $24 to $40 USD (144.30 to 244.30 kn or €19 to €32).

Dubrovnik Restaurants
You’ll find some of the best and freshest seafood in Dubrovnik. Expect to pay high prices for the food. Watch out of tourist traps the small cafes are well aware of their tourist status and the prices reflect this. Make sure you try some Croatia wine, try a place called D’Vino it’s a wine bar in Dubrovnik. They also have a large selection of imported wines.

There are many well known events in Dubrovnik but one of the most popular is the annual Dubrovnik Summer Festival which features live plays and concerts for forty-five days long. Other popular destinations are Rector’s Palace, Onofrio’s Fountain and Minceta Tower which was originally used to protect its citizens with its large strong walls.
