Blacksburg Airport Shuttle Service
The closest commercial airport is the Roanoke Regional Airport located 30 miles east in Roanoke, Virginia. The Smartway bus offers service from airport to Virginia Tech with stops in downtown Roanoke and downtown Blacksburg. You can get a Valley Metro Transfer VMT which will allow you two rides on the VMT bus that day.
Through a cooperative with the university there is a nice bus system that cost 50 cents to non-students. On games days there is an additional fee; from a couple of hours before the game up until a couple hours after half time.
