The Metro services have an extensive network of bus routes as well as convenient Park & Ride facilities which help to ease rush-hour commutes. The Metrorail red line is a light rail service that runs from the University of Houston to the south of Reliant Park along the streets of Fannin, Main and San Jacinto. Metrolift is a paratransit service that is also offered by the Metropolitan Transit Authority. It provides transportation to persons who have disabilities and who cannot ride, board, or disembark from a regular Metro fixed-route bus. Alternative transportation can be provided by the Yellow Cab services. About the Houston Convention Center The center is the only rodeo as well as NFL natural grass stadium with an indoor and outdoor retractable roof which can be configured to utilize the 125,000 square foot space to be used for catered functions, general sessions, exhibits and concerts. The center has two different playing surfaces one being a natural grass field that is used for professional football games while the other is an artificial surface, which is used for college and high school games. Both surfaces have a layout of interlocking trays. The center is home to the Texas Bowl. NRG Park is located near George Bush Intercontinental Houston Airport and William P. Hobby Houston Airport for those needing rides to the convention center. Hotels in Houston Another hotel is the Medical Center Inn & Suites at Houston Medical Center and Reliant Stadium and offers an outdoor pool as well as shuttles.
