This GC3 campus spans wide enough to hold the facilities that create: Marvel Animation Studios, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Consumer Products, The Muppets Studios, Disney Renaissance, Disney Toon Studios, and Disney Interactive. That means a lot of creation. And that is a lot of work, and a lot of jobs.

Upscale outdoor malls or inside shopping areas found in the Glendale Fashion Center, as well as the Montrose Shopping Park in North Glendale are great spots for shopping. Some nice restaurants can also be found around the town. A large, early established Armenian population brings unique eating experiences.

This kind of reasonably priced cuisines can be found at the smaller places like Café Bravo makes great kabobs , to the larger more expensive eating spots like the Carousel.

Glendale

Glendale is not like the other small cities profiled in the list so far. This city is actually a big city. Not as big as Los Angeles, California, of course, but it is impressive.
About Glendale
Glendale’s city size has been found to be a total of thirty square miles. Of this, about forty three percent is water. Within these thirty miles holds a population that is estimated at nearly two hundred thousand people. Because of this, Glendale has earned the title of being the third largest city within Los Angeles County. Not only that, Glendale also gets a hat tip from California for being the twenty second largest city within the state and an easy ride to Los Angeles International Airport.

Burbank is very ideally placed within prime locations like the foothill spots of Tujunga, Flintridge, La Crescenta, and La Canada. To the east there is Eagle Rock and Pasadena, who are incorporated with the city of Los Angeles as well, and go straight to the west, about ten miles away, is the one and only: Burbank.

Glendale’s way of living is one to keep their neighborhoods tight knit and friendly. The Glendale Residents have many different programs and activities they keep their community involved in, like graffiti removal, code enforcement education, and clean-up programs.

With a population of fewer than 200,000 residents, the city is ranked the 3rd largest city in the whole of Los Angeles but the 22nd in the state of California. It is just large enough to have all the features of entertainment, leisure and relaxation that can only be found in larger cities while still retaining a smaller town’s accessibility. Glendale has a famous neighboring town nearby called Burbank; both have served as major movie production centers for the U.S entertainment industry.

Glendale is a beautiful, busy city, found in the County of Los Angeles, a suburb in the Greater Los Angeles area, nestled in the San Fernando Valley. Lying on the extreme end of eastern San Fernando Valley, the city of Glendale is divided into two by mountains of Verdugo. As a regional suburb in the Greater Los Angeles Area, the city is flanked by the neighborhoods of Sun Valley and Tujunga to the northwestern part of Los Angeles, by unincorporated areas of La Crescenta and La Canada Flintridge to the northeast, by Griffith Park and Burbank to the west, by Eagle Rock and Pasadena to the east, by the Atwater Village to the south and by the Glassell Park to the southeast.

Aside from its schools and residential neighborhoods, Glendale is known for its celebrity businesses. Bob’s Big Boy restaurants, known for their delicious burgers were started in Glendale, and so was ice cream chain known as “31 Flavors,” Baskin-Robbins. The famous Forest Lawn Memorial Park was later annexed to Glendale when many famous celebrities chose to be buried or vaulted on that ground (Marilyn Monroe being one of them).

In addition, there are also many other well-known companies who have set up shop in Glendale. The regional office for the city of Los Angeles of California’s State Compensation Insurance Fund set up in Glendale and remains there. Avery Dennison Corporation, Nero Burning ROM, International House of Pancakes, and Nestle are just a sampling of the major companies who took flight from Glendale.

And we cannot forget the biggest star of them all; it’s a star that outgrew his studio in Burbank: Mickey Mouse. The Walt Disney Company expanded right into Glendale and christened what is now known as GC3: Grand Central Creative Campus.

The city has attracted many famous businesses. Walt Disney Studios moved there in the 1960s, finding it a desirable place to set up and expand its production company. Even Steven Spielberg found Glendale to be a great place to build DreamWorks, his diversified movie making company. Many Hollywood’s legendary movie stars are buried at Glendale’s, Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Within easy access distance, a wide range of outdoor activities can be found in and around Glendale. One of such spots is Deukmejian Wilderness Park. Here you can walk a mile and half trail with just enough twists and turns to be interesting and well worth it as you ascend to the top to take in the great view.

Another outdoor spot is Brand Park, a gem of a place to spend some couple of hours. Take a relaxing walk or ride a bike on a nice trail winding through trees and pretty gardens. After enjoying an outdoor activity, shopping may be in order and there is much to be enjoyed here.
